The path from pattern name to written plan

A sequence students follow across studio, clinic, and planning sessions—so markup stays consistent when you practise alone.

  1. Clean charts and honest labels

Strip noise, mark swing structure, and practise naming only what is visible—leaving blanks when the shape is incomplete.

  2. Continuation versus reversal language

Separate pauses inside a trend from attempts to turn it, using measured expectations instead of hope.

  3. Write the plan after the name

One trigger, one invalidation line, and a short note on size—filled only when the pattern earns a plan.

  4. Review without rewriting history

Keep failed and completed examples side by side so the next similar chart inherits clearer criteria.
